With our honeymoon at a close it's back to colder weather and layering. I am convinced I wasn't born fit for Iowa...because let's be honest wearing 20 layers of clothing is just not my thing. I love simplicity and with colder weather you have to plan for that #always.

During the winter months I like to have basic pieces that add flavor to an outfit, that screams oh, that looks put together, but yet is comfortable and logical. To start off, I always love having a basic piece like this white tank. On most occasions I enjoy adding something as simple as a cardigan like this grey one pictured. Although grey and white aren't the most vibrant colors, that's okay in my book because you can take your look to the next level by adding a statement piece. AKA: A statement necklace, bold earrings, or a bright clutch. For this look I chose a statement necklace from the Mirina Collections here.

If you know me well, you know I'm a complete accessory obsessor. I can't get enough! I'm so reserved in certain areas, like I will splurge on a necklace, but earrings I have a harder time with because I have certain pairs I wear over and over. So for me, it's all about splurging on a great accessory. What I love about the Mirina Collection is that each piece is completely different. I purchased this one here because I fell in girl lust with all the delicate details and layering effects. Each individual piece is catered to create a different feel or vibe #yesplease. I'm also crushing over this knockout here and here

P.S: Take note of the last shot...this is the stuff that makes Tess do what we like to call "palm to the forehead." ;)

As a wise women said, "I see bold accessories as a women's Armor."- Rachel Zoe #goddess.
