Fall Essentials

Pictures by: Tess Ware
Outfit details below

Olive Military Jacket: Similar here and here {this one sold out, bummer}! | Grey Tank: Nordstrom | Knee high boots: Justfab {going fast}! | Striped Clutch: Stella & Dot | Necklace: BaubleBar | Sunnies: Here {shh...these aren't Prada/under $10}!

Gearing up for fall I had two things on my wish list. Affordable over the knee boots {who doesn't want to get their pretty women on}? and cute pattern clutches. I feel that I've achieved success with these lovely Justfab Winnie Camel knee high boots and this adorable Stella & Dot City Slim Clutch. Don't worry though..it doesn't stop there...now I'm on the hunt for the perfect grey and black boot/booties as well! Wish me luck {#overachieverstatus}. Have a fabulous week you lovely ladies!

oh, psst...I finally received our wedding photos and oh was it worth the wait! Can't wait to show you a sneak peak into our special day.

Yellow striped Sweater: Goodnight Macaroon {Favorite}! | White Denim: Nordstrom | Rebecca Minkoff bag similar here and here | Sunnies: Here | Necklace: Baublebar love these here too! {get 20% off your first purchase. You won't regret it}! | Rings: Stella & Dot here and love this here | Tan Heels: Express | Earrings: Baublebar {comes in four colors, excluding blue}

I'm over here like...oh hey fall... come join us here in Iowa. I have so many cute sweaters waiting to be worn and it's just not happening people! However, this Goodnight Macaroon sweater is lightweight and super cute on it's own or with a pair of white denim. Who says you can't wear white after Labor Day? Rules are boring and I prefer to step into the wild side {ha ha...hardly}.

When it comes to fall and winter I find myself turning to a black and grey palette. Reference to boring...lol. I'm making it a point this fall and winter to try blush tones and my current go to colors, olive and plum {but seriously}. Oh....and I should also mention my ridiculousness in that I refuse to put out my fall decor until I am able to have the windows open, cool air, and a nice cup of joe {#goneonstrike} So, that's that. You could say I'm officially holding out for fall weather!

Much love!

Denim + Fringe Diaries

Photos By: Tess Ware
{Outfit details below}

Sleeveless denim shirt: Target {MAJOR SALE} | Black Denim: Nordstrom {love these Old Navy here and Nordstrom here, all under $60 | Necklace: Stella & Dot | Bag: Similar, Nordstrom here here here {all 50% off}! | Booties: love these from Norstrom here, here, and here! | Sunnies: Shopbop | Bracelets: Stella & Dot here and here

Just when I thought summer was gone and fall {like the new girl arriving}.. came back in full force. I'm okay with that though. I mean, its like last call for summer before fall {witty}? ;)

My favorite thing besides the obvious coffee, chips, margs, and a day in bed watching The Hallmark Channel {just a few} is denim. Denim is a great staple piece. It can be worn in any season without looking out of place.

I had originally paired this sleeveless denim shirt from Target {did I fail to mention it's on sale for $8} with green military pants that I wore in my last post..however, it wasn't the look I was going for {kind of like my bangs in the 4th grade...terrible..just terrible}. This happens often to me. You know bad decisions that I later think...wah? But occasionally I like to step out of my comfort zone and try something thrown together. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. That's okay. There's always an A for effort.

One thing that will remain popular this fall is fringe. You can add that to the list of obsessions {remove my 4th grade crush for room, ha}. Fringe is everywhere this season and I don't like it, I love it. I love fringe so much, I think putting together a fall board including my favorite fringe pieces would be a great idea. So, keep your eyes peeled!

From boots, bags, tops, or a necklace.. FRINGE IS ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA.

 Photos by: Tess Ware {now doing mini sessions}!
{Outfit details below}
White Tunic: Nordstrom {comes in 5 colors}! | Military Pants: Target | Necklace: Old | Earrings: Baublebar {comes in 4 colors} | Black Tote: Similar Nordstrom here and J.Crew here {comes in 6 colors} | Heels: Express | Fur Vest: Similar Lulu's here and Forever21 here | Sunnies: Urban Outfitters

When the fur vest is out...that's my way of saying.."It's okay fall..come join us homegirl.." How ridiculous I would refer to fall as my homegirl, but for real I can't contain myself. I'm truly impulsive. I'm just glad I didn't have to part with fur this year... because I don't think I would do well with that. Not at all. Don't worry, I'm all about faux vs. real...but I'm also all about a steal. Honestly, I'm sure I'm just a basic girl who loves basic fall things. Pumpkin Spice Lattes, oversized sweatshirts, college football {go Hawks}, fall candles, and decor. The list goes on, but it would require footie PJS and a sleep over. By the way, you're all invited of course.

Fall fashion is another favorite fall frenzy of mine {say that 3x}. It's so easy and versatile to layer a tunic with some edgy military pants like these here and here. Top it with a fun blazer or fur vest and viola you have yourself a nice girls night out/date night completed look. I'm not going to lie, finding the perfect fur vest can be a challenge..challenge accepted. I've linked some of my faux fur vests under $100. Hey girl, you're welcome!

1. I love this ShopImpressions fur vest here. Super affordable!

2. This shaggy fur vest from Target here is to die for. You know what I'm saying?

3.  Forever21 here..because why wouldn't they?

4. Lulus here...I mean come on! Love.
