The weekend ended with rain and began with rain...but that's okay because we need it here in Iowa! I always laugh so hard because Tess is always teasing me about wearing sunglasses up until the last sunbeam {it's true}! I have a mild obsession with sunnies! Sometimes {Always} I make a secret "wish list." Usually a pair of sunnies always makes an appearance on the list. When I saw the Karen Walker sunglass collection, I literally died and went to sunglass heaven. Although I consumed sticker shock..I knew I had to get my hands on a pair. These pictured here are one of my "save" finds. Although they aren't Karen Walker...there my Karen Walker "wanna be's" and I adore them! It's not all about the brand, but lord knows I like my designers.

Phew, as I'm settling into bed and of course playing catch up, I can't help but to feel overwhelming joy. Although this weekend was go, go go, I started it with family and ended it with family {#blessed}. So, here is my weekend recap. It started off with my wonderful mama shopping for wedding center pieces {and of course shopping}. I've said it before and I'll say it again..wedding planning thus far as been so fun! 

With the big details blowing in the wind...there still comes the small details. Everyone says, "It's the big things that count." or "No one pays attention to the small details." All of which are probably accurate...except when your OCD about the "small details" and you were born OVER-observant. Yes, dramatic but {#truelife} I'm a perfectionist. So here comes my melt down rant...{don't worry it won't last. I'll be off making a new mental list}. I feel way over my head with these small details. Nothing is more rewarding then checking an item off the to do list..but nothing is more overwhelming when adding five more! What's that saying...one step forward...two steps back? NAILED IT. 

What keeps a girl grounded in a time of weddingwhelmness {Yes, I made that word up}? Family, friends, and the "little details" of life. I realize while my mind may be full....my heart can as well. Translation... when my heart is full, my mind becomes less of a distraction and block because I know at the end of the day...I get to marry my best friend...with the most important family and friends a girl could ask for! 

Side distraction...isn't this location magical? Of course my photographer never disappoints {Tess you my girl}! I'm loving mixed prints this season! I feel like my five year old self again, when mom was away, and dad would say "you can pick out what you want to wear today." To say the least...I'm still learning...but challenge accepted.

Fringe, fringe, and more fringe....my latest and greatest obsession is fringe! It's always a necessity in my closet...so no doubt I'll be making some room for more! I love Panama hats as well! Disclaimer: Hats on windy days...make for endless laughs! 

With Dustin and I's wedding being a little over 3 months away and working one full time job, one part time {for fun} job...list are taking over our space, sleep becomes minimal, and the worry of completing task after task becomes exhausting. So, instead of eating my sorrows away..donut by donut..I came up with a list {#surprise-surprise} of what keeps my heart full and mind fresh...and here it goes {#enjoy}

Full Heart: Indulge {in moderation}. Say yes to new things. Seek and capture the little things in life. Dream BIG, work HARDER, and watch opportunities unfold. Be kind out of gesture-not out of self-fullfillment. Trust the journey {it's an adventure dear}! Cuddle as much as humanly possible. Everyday is a DONUT day. Create a bucket list and watch in satisfaction as you cross dreams off. 

Mind fresh: Smile even when life doesn't always give you a reason {do it}! Knowledge is POWER, ask away. Do what makes you happy {#simple...#justdoit}. Stay in the moment. Compare less, make note of your own strengths. Compliment others, judge less. Take time to enjoy-whether it be by yourself, with your best gal pal in crime, or that scrumptious man of yours. Stress less, WINE more. Exercise the body and the mind {Shopping counts as cardio, right}? Make lists, its perfectly okay to be a functional chaotic mess. Laugh until.....you grow yourself a pair of abs. Disclaimer: wishful thinking.

I'm pretty sure I should wear this tank everyday. Maybe, just maybe it would be a great reminder not to be late....{#wishfulthinking}! My photographer put my lateness in perspective and it goes something like this, "I've officially ran out of excuses. I will likely be a little late because of who I am as a person." {ha ha}

Confession: I'm a sucker for graphic t-shirts with rad sayings. So, naturally when I saw this tank from Nordstrom it was a "meant to be, had to have" kind of purchase. I have a girl crush on this graphic t's as well here and here. These shoes by the way... are super comfortable. Dustin says he's living out the Justfab commercial where the husband is disturbed by the amount of shoes arriving to the house. I about lost it then and there. But real talk, I'm addicted to Justfab! I'm currently trying to chose from these here and here. Decisions decisions!

Wind alert, I repeat wind alert! This day had Tess and I laughing so hard! At one point I looked over at Tess {hints the mid laugh picture} and said, "Do you think if I hold my breath the wind will stop?" Obviously not, but wishful thinking. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I went to the cutest bridal shower ever for a good family friend and oh my does it have me excited for mine! FYI: I'm on the hunt for the perfect dress so if you have suggestions do share! I adore a traditional white dress but I'm really starting to obsess over hot pinks and neon green colors. There perfect for summer!

You all, I've been dying to find the perfect chambray top and I got this one for a steal when Express had their 40% off sale! I've done the whole denim on denim look, but these boyfriend jeans though {#heaven} Confession: I have a thing for express and this look is express head to toe {#ExpressLove}. Now excuse me while I catch up on my daily dose of The Voice!
