Happy Memorial Day Weekend loves! I kept myself busy working on wedding necessities and taking a few breaks here and there to shop this weekends amazing sales. The weather hasn't been the greatest, but it gives me an excuse to catch up on wedding planning and house duties...BLAH {to house duties}. You all...on Saturday I went to try my wedding dress on and fell in love all over again...I'm so excited!! Anyways,  speaking of sales...I listed a ton of my favorites down below!

I found myself browsing through the workout section on Nordstrom's site ...{I think it's my body dropping some serious hints}.  Of course if you're anything like me it's painful to buy workout clothes at full price...{its already bad enough we have to force ourselves to go...you feel me}? This girl is obsessed with all of the fun summer prints this season. Palm trees, pineapples, and stripes....sign me up!

Express has been a long standing favorite of mine for sometime now. In fact...the other day I was cleaning out my closet and realized it's totally closet divided aka Old Navy/Express vs. Nordstrom/favorite little boutiques... {#closetconfessions}. When I spotted this palm tree blouse..I knew it was love at first purchase. The best part is the ladder cut on the back and while a picture was taken ...my booty was popping you all. No fear...beyonce...but really it just couldn't make the cut. 

Speaking of no fear... mixing prints has been on the daily lately! I loved pairing this striped embellished Express clutch with this amazing Express Blouse....don't worry there have been plenty of miserable fails along the way...but its all about trial and error folks...kind of like my horrific choice to cut my hair really really short, die it dark, and alternate my brace bands pink and green. #EPICFAIL. Don't make me prove it people...the proof is out there!

Today has been quite the emotional day. For those of you following along religiously {thank you} not only for your support as I experiment with Smitten By You and what doors may open, but for listening to me when I'm being a complete sap. I'm a very passionate person..with that being said..some would say {ahum, my future hubs} I feel every emotion deeply. I consider it a blessing and a curse. A blessing because my dad could so very much relate. 

Today was my dad's birthday. While I'm at a place of peace with his passing, there's so many emotions flaring today. I had a list of "things to do" as always and today I thought...I'm going to take this time to unwind, watch a Nicolas Sparks movie {my favorite}, and let whatever emotions spill out. Well, it happened....and I can't help but chuckle because it was over a youtube video of Sara Bareilles {sweetest ever} helping two couples with their engagements. The ending...where the other person is surprised...yeah, that face.. it totally got me. Done. Full tears. Anyways, the moral of this post...let those feelings go! Feel on! Even if its deep and raw...chances are you'll end up smiling because you let go {#frozen...sorry}. 

Anyways, I really hope boyfriend jeans/shorts don't go out of style anytime soon{ish}...because I wear them like they're going out of style. They're like the ice cream to my cone, the peanut butter to my spoon, and the shoe to my closet { ha ha...I'm losing it}. And this lace maxi cardigan though?! The other day I went to the mall and I'm not lying when I say it's slim pickins' here in Cedar Falls....but one place I can always count on is The Buckle. Fact: I use to work there in college...Fact: I never came home with a pay check. Anyways, thank you to the Cedar Falls Buckle for picking out the cutest lace dress for our Couple's Shower and this lace maxi cardigan. Definitely a repeat for summer! Oh my and i can't forget these Mia shoes here. These lovelies caught my eye from a mile away!! Fierce fringe!

Happy Saturday loves! Is it me or can the weekends be intimidating? I'm definitely in most ways Type B personality... but when it comes to feeling like I have things to do... I can quickly become Type A. Other times I look at everything on my list of things "to do" and avoid it at all costs {kind of like right now, ha ha....}. Yes, I am in fact an avid list maker. No that doesn't put me in the OCD category. My theory is...if it's in your head it's not safe. If its on a piece of paper... your good to forget it and revisit it next week {or month}.

The weekend ended with rain and began with rain...but that's okay because we need it here in Iowa! I always laugh so hard because Tess is always teasing me about wearing sunglasses up until the last sunbeam {it's true}! I have a mild obsession with sunnies! Sometimes {Always} I make a secret "wish list." Usually a pair of sunnies always makes an appearance on the list. When I saw the Karen Walker sunglass collection, I literally died and went to sunglass heaven. Although I consumed sticker shock..I knew I had to get my hands on a pair. These pictured here are one of my "save" finds. Although they aren't Karen Walker...there my Karen Walker "wanna be's" and I adore them! It's not all about the brand, but lord knows I like my designers.
