Ahh, what a fun and relaxing weekend with family and friends! Every year Dustin's side of the family has their annual pumpkin party in a big cozy farm shed. Some of the fun festives include a pumpkin carving contest {over 30+ people participate}, best crock pot soup contest {16 different soups to be exact} and a pinata game for the kiddos....not to mention a variety of sweets, which you can't possibly stop at one! At the end of the party, everyone leaves with a full belly and a little waddle in their step! This year was my first time taking part in the soup contest and I chose this Pepper Jack Potato Soup recipe from Pinterest {here} and it was a hit. Although our soup didn't win {Dustin is convinced it's because we didn't make enough} we were up against some great competition! Anyways, I feel so blessed to share such a great tradition with a wonderful group of people and it's a time to remember those who aren't with us in present, but surely are in spirit. Excuse the historical pup faces and the pupbombs, they don't look all too enthused do they?!

I'm LOVING flannels this season and this Old Navy flannel tunic went like hot cakes. Although it's sold out online, I've done my darnest to link other similar flannel tunics for you all to enjoy! As always, Old Navy has an extra 20% off {no code needed} and another one of my online favorites J.Crew Factory is having an extra 25% off with code EXTRA25! Here is a list of some of my favorites would have to be these leopard "mid-heel" shoes here, this striped patched sweater here and this amazing herringbone vest here {on back ordered}.

Have a wonderful Monday and stop back soon!

 Happy Friday, what's that saying....oh yeah TGIF! So I'm all about this Aztec Cardigan that I bought last season. I love how this cardigan has vibrant colors and the fabric is nice and thick for those cold fall or winter nights. Although this one is no longer available {last season}, I searched endlessly to find you all similar selections! I'm going to keep this post short and sweet, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and make sure to check out the links above for direct access. Also, quick side note, Groopdealz {music to my ears} is a website that I'm slightly completely obsessed over. Groopdealz has amazing clothes, house decor, holiday decor, things for the kiddos, and more! Make sure to check it out, every day there is a new deal and well...that keeps me on my toes or my wallet empty! Some favorites of mine are leather leggings, a blanket scarf {huge staple for fall, many colors} and their fleece leggings. {Direct link to site: here} Additionally, these Dolce Vita suede boots are on SUPER sale!

Hello loves, I'm not going to lie, this Paso Fino Horse Ranch is breathtaking. A family friend of ours owns and takes so much pride in her ranch but how couldn't you? The horses are beautiful and the pastors stretch on for miles, all of the fall colors and stables are simply tranquil. Anyways, this fall I've made it a point to step out of my usual color scheme and try different patterns as well as colors. I've always had a thing for cable knits and I adore this Old Navy Mustard Knit Sweater. Although it's sold out online, I've linked similar ones that are amazing as well. Also, if you couldn't already tell, I'm really into layering. As I mentioned before, if you're not quite sure on how to layer different pieces, start with a familiar color and pair it with a flannel or a shirt with a pattern {polka dots, gingham, etc.}. You can never go wrong by adding a statement necklace for a finishing touch or even a long pendent like this Stella & Dot one that I over wear!

 {Click the links below for direct outfit details}

Gingham Blouse: old {love this and this} // Sequence Shirt: Oxford Trunk // Tan Blazer: old, Splurge here and save here // Leather leggings: Express save here // Leopard clutch: similar here and want // Jeweled bracelet: here // Crystal link bracelet: Similar here and here // Lip: Mac, Everyday Diva

Happy Monday babes! If you're anything like me Monday's can be a drag. After having a very nice weekend with family it's always hard to get back in work mode. As mentioned in my last post, mixing prints and textures is so much fun, as of lately I've been taking risks and really mixing it up, like pairing this gingham button down and sequence shirt {obsessed, LOVE The Oxford Trunk}. If anything, start your work week by effortlessly layering to add a little fun to your Monday. These leather leggings have been a huge staple in my closet and while they may not always be appropriate for certain work settings, if you can get away with wearing them, they can pull any ole' outfit together. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and stay tuned for an upcoming giveaway! For those of you lovely readers following, thank you!! I would love to hear from you, drop a comment below and feel free to subscribe to my page by simply entering in your e-mail to receive all outfit details.

Faux Fur and Flannel Fever

{Click the pink link for direct access to these great finds!}

Plaid Flannel: Forever21 {real similar here, love this with sequence too!} // Faux Fur Vest: love this and this // Jeans: Rock Revival: Similar here and here // Cognac Booties: Steve Madden // Clutch: Steve Madden // Necklace: here // Lip: Mac {in sin, here}  // Watch: Micheal Kors // Bracelets: Stella & Dot {my go to} here and here.

Tis' the season for flannel and faux fur, well in my closet it is! I bought this faux number last year and faux fur has been in high demand as of lately. Of course you can't go wrong with an everyday flannel and I'm really digging maroon tones with cognac colored accessories like these Steve Madden boots and clutch. Fall is a time for layering, but at times doing so can be overwhelming. My go to styling tip for layering is pick a neutral (solid color) and pair it with a pattern. If you feel like being a dare devil, mix patterns such as stripes with leopard print or a same color scheme with mixed prints.

Enjoy your weekend loves, stop back soon!

Hey all! Sorry for the later post, but this week has been hectic! I accepted a new position at one of our local hospitals and I am more than ecstatic! If there's one thing that I love more besides fashion, it's assisting others with their social service needs. Anyways, how cute is this Throwback Thursday Graphic Tee I stole {not literally, bargain hunted} while Express was holding one of their many amazing 40% sales. Besides the great deals, Express always carries awesome statement pieces that are fun to layer or pair with an everyday moto jacket. I decided to include a day to night look because we all like our ladies nights, am I right ladies? A day to night look can be as simple as throwing on a leather jacket and a pair of your favorite heels. I hope you enjoy this look, Happy Friday Loves!

Hello you lovely readers, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! Mine started off visiting the new Old Navy store that opened Saturday and wow was there some pretty amazing discounts happening. I sent a snapchat as more of a warning to loved ones that I may not make it out alive, or maybe that was my wallet. Anyways, I love all the new flannels, puffer vests, and sweaters Old Navy has out for fall. I definitely went crazy over their cute cable knits, like this one here and their flannels! I plan on making another run possibility next pay check (shh) because there were so many things I am still itching to add to my closet for fall. Furthermore, can we talk about this adorable printed blanket scarf, found here? Did I mention it's only $12?! I stole this beauty right off the mannequin. An eye catcher staple piece for sure! Check back for more scarf favorites soon, as I plan to link all my favorite selections for those fall and winter months ahead! Also, Old Navy has 20% off until today and up to 50% off select styles, get these cute products before there gone!

Rainy Day Wear

Grey Sweater: old {similar here and here} // White dress: {Similar here and here} // Hunter gloss Boots: here  // Necklace: Stella & dot // Lips: Mac {Everyday Diva}

Fall has officially kicked off with some cold and dreary days. As much as I like the sun and warm weather, it's fun to have days where you can cozy up inside with a good book and a warm sweater. Speaking of sweaters, I snatched this one last season and fell in love with the high low details. I couldn't resist pairing this layered look with some good ole Hunter Boots. Seriously though, every excuse I can get to wear these {not like I need one!} I do. I love these boots so much, I may need to add a red pair to the Christmas list. I hope you had a great weekend and enjoy your Monday loves!

Gingham & Cognac

Gingham Shirt: J. Crew Factory // Sweater: old {similar here & here} // Destroyed jeans: old {love these & craving these} // Cognac Booties: Steve Madden // Clutch: old {craving this} // Necklace {similar here}

Happy first day of October! It's officially starting to feel like fall with the chill temperatures in the air and the leaves changing colors. Time for big sweaters, scarves and boots galore, wohoo! Speaking of boots, I am digging these Steve Madden Cognac booties. They're both comfortable and affordable. Another fall favorite of mine as of recently has been Gingham pattern shirts. I love this style in blue, it's a staple piece that can be layered or worn with a statement necklace. Anyways, I hope you enjoy your Wednesday, half way to Friday!
